The First Xbox Game Pass Additions of 2026 Reveal Xbox Remains Committed.

Everywhere you go, fans keep sounding the death bells for the Xbox brand. Xbox was recently outsold by a relatively obscure console. Platform-specific outlets began covering about PlayStation unprecedentedly. 2025 was a period of total upheaval for the tech giant's gaming arm. Yet, based exclusively on what's coming to Game Pass in 2026, it's evident that Xbox remains determined to draw people in with strong games on its key platform.

The Immediate Additions

The duo of games you can play right now at this moment, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, aren't the showstoppers. The true anticipation is for the upcoming titles to Game Pass over the next few weeks that's worth getting excited about.

Significant Forthcoming Releases

On Jan. 13, the subscription service will add the underrated Star Wars Outlaws, an open-world game that deviates from the standard Ubisoft formula with a space-faring criminal escapade. Another big get is Resident Evil Village featuring the towering Lady Dimitrescu, previously described as "the perfect cocktail of frights and fights."

Noteworthy Smaller Games

Yet, the less-hyped additions coming to Game Pass soon deserve recognition. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, an unjustly ignored roguelite that is incredibly fun, arrives January 7th — and it's worth experiencing regardless of whether you played the first Lost in Random game.

The game set in a ruined Britain from last year might get its hooks in you in about 15 minutes flat.

Atomfall, a game blending infiltration and resource management by the developers behind Sniper Elite, also warrants your attention. Those with the top-tier subscription also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to anticipate.

A Well-Rounded Collection

Ultimately, these aren't the most groundbreaking additions to Game Pass, nor are they massive exclusive blockbusters that justify the service alone. However, this batch of games are exceptionally strong. There's a good mixture of old games you might have missed and fairly new titles that didn't get the attention they warranted upon launch — rendering them excellent choices to get a second chance on Game Pass.

Be prepared to part ways with The Grinch Christmas Adventures, however.
